Mega shoot day looks a bit like this!

So, when BeccaLou says she is moving 3 hours away - we needed to act fast. It's typical you have so many ideas brewing and then BAM, suddenly you have to get them all out in one go.

The day started with a bit of classic biker chic, with an appearance of Suki the Suzuki

Then a smidge of etheral goodness whilst the random bush in the garden was still looking cute.

Then we had the pleasure of Lily Von Pink visit us, assist with make up and a bit of co-modelling to produce some creepy awesome images.

Then a hour drive to the ever sunny (not) north wales and some beachy fun-times.

Including a mermaid shoot which had taken a lot of prep and planning as we wanted the last shoot to go with a bang!

And that's pretty much it for now.

Back to blogging!

To say I haven't posted in a while is an understatement. The last year has been a total whirlwind of exams and stress and trying to fit in a few photo shoots in between. Whilst also moving house twice!
So, anyway, I would love to share some of my most recent work with you.

This first shoot features Betty Red
Wig: Geisha Wigs (retired company)
MUA: Model's own
Styling: a combination

Next photo shoot is featuring the fabulous Lilly Von Pink
Styling: joint effort
MUA: herself
And that's pretty much your lot for now. It's been very quiet.

February in Liverpool

So, following on from previous posts. There is some slightly good news - I won't be moving to Blackpool (though I am sure it would have been fine if I did). I shall now be moving back to Cheshire. Still, I think it is pretty important to carry on doing loads of nice things, so here goes February....
1) a trip to Crosby beach, with the well known iron men. Which were pretty eerie up close, especially those closer to the sea as they were covered in barnacles.
A tad off tangent, but I have also majorly improved my diet.
Top left: plain salad haha. Top right: beansprouts with onion and pepper. Nom!
Bottom left: Rattatouile and bottom right: spinach and lentil curry
I'm not actually a veggie, despite there being no meat in these dishes - just fancied a detox!
So on Friday 13th (day before Valentines) I went with my OH to see Top Gear Live, at the Echo Arena. On the monday we'd been to see the Circus of Horrors and then on the dreaded Valentines day we went to see a burlesque show.
Also tried out Moose Coffee on Dale Street (I Think).... t'was amazing!
And also Bistro Franc on Hanover street, which had an amazing 3 courses for £12.90
Photography side of things, had my first shoot of 2015 (woo) which went down well with some handmade harnesses and things. Finished results can be seen here.
Also made some other random bits and bobs which can be seen here.
That's pretty much it. Hope you enjoyed!

January in Liverpool

So, despite having no photo shoots in January it doesn't mean that there isn't loads being planned. Got some fab ideas with some amazing people and also lots of offers brewing.

Had more time off work etc than usual so thought I would embrace it and do some stuff! Went some places which I haven't been before!

So first place I went to with friends is a place called Pi, which sells Pies & Mash believe it or not haha. This was one of their amazing selection of beers. Worth a visit (Pi, Rose Lane)

Made myself a healthier lasagne from scratch, was yummy. Don't really have a recipe as I just shoved loads of stuff in pans, but it was tasty all the time.

Liverpool is famous for the docks and as I live so close by I thought I would visit. Went for a mooch and then breakfast at Browns in Liverpool One (they have 2 for 1 breakfasts) with my dad. Had a lovely time.

Next went to a place called Alma de Cuba, converted church on Seel Street. January had 50% off so had an amazing 3 course meal and cocktails. Was amazing. Also caught up with some friends. It has such a great atmosphere, very gothic.

Also went to TGI Fridays in Liverpool one, again a 2 minute walk from where I live so seems a shame to waste being so cental in town. Also caught up with more people and had more fabulous and giant cocktails.

And a few other bits, bought  myself some new dresses, which have amazing prints on them (see above) and got my ear pierced. I also booked in for a tattoo session and saw my family a bit.

Anyway, that's enough for now, hopefully the pictures break it up. Hopefully will have more photography based stuff for you next time!

Coming to the end of the year.

So, 2014 has been another packed year, on the personal and "professional" side of things.

I'm ending the year quite busy, with a few shoots lined up and a wedding as well. Also it was a year since Jen & Rob's wedding, my make up bag has upgraded considerably (see previous post from ages ago).

Also with some news as well: come September 2015 I shall be relocating to Blackpool, not 100% by choice (university) but everything happens for a reason and i'm sure I will take a lot from it.

So, I shall share a couple of images from the last couple of months.

This is Jesse-marie, had a lovely shoot with her. Turns out she is the daughter of someone I already know (through photography as well).

The lovely Lilly Von Pink, shooting with her again soon!

And Lilly Von Pink again, totally different look!

I shall do another post with some more images.
I would also like to do a shameless plug for my christmas offer! See the photo below:

What's in your make up bag?

So, I've been told, by models on photo shoots that I do my make up well. Obviously I'm miles off make up artist standard but it was a nice compliment so I thought I would give a list of my essential products and some recommendations/ avoidance guidance.

 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT

Rimmel dream matt mouse! Yeah it does last ages and a little goes a long way, but I am definately wanting an upgrade as soon as it's finished with (a new years resolution of mine is to use all of what I have before buying more). It leaves my cheeks looking quite dry and comes off quite easily when you are sweaty. I do like how easy it is to apply though and recommend it if you aren't greasy and have a good skin care routine (which I don't - really). £7.99 when I got it.

Avon dual ended black and purple eyeliner - since my hair is purple I kinda combo it and use it on my eyebrows, does the job perfectly. In terms of proper eyeliner though, it doesn't stay too well, just like a lot of pencils which is why I use liquid. It was on offer for £2.50

Rimmel mascara - I don't go for mahoosive lashes like some people, so yeah it does the job in coating them and making them black. A good cheap eyeliner at £4.99

Rimmel waterproof mascara £5.29 Right,  I do love it and it does stay on well through tears and sweat but it's definitely harder to apply. It requires a few layers and sometimes looks a bit flakey and shiny so I will again, be seeking an upgrade when it is all used (it was on offer when I got it and got 2 gah)

Avon quad of eyeshadows- I do love these, they stay pretty well and the combinations are lovely. I do really love the silver when I use my MAC Carbon eyeshadow as well. Obviously there are some better ones in the market but it is really good and lasts a while too. £7 when I got it.

Avon dicontinues lipstick. As you can see it's nearly all gone but it is an ace colour,  I love it and it lasts, it will be a hard one to replace £2.50

So these are my basics, other products I use are a black MAC eyeshadow, Avon blush pearls, Lush purple eyeshadow/eyeliner, and a concealer stick. Plus loads of odd bits which I need to use more so I can get on with my new years resolution.

New year! New start and all that jazz

Hiya,

Definately been neglecting this blog for a while, and had loads of cool things to post about for the last 6 months of 2013 but never mind. However, I shall give you a list of highlights.
  • I finally started on my tour, starting with Manchester, and shot with KMD Designs, Cat Sleigh, Little Sofi and more, it was a lot of fun and filled me with confidence about future tour dates.
  • I did many shoots with the amazing BeccaLou Alt Model, including zombies, street fashion and all sorts, had a lot of fun!
  • Met lots of new faces, and saw old ones.
  • Generally had a good year!

So, with the new year started, I thought I want to fill it with as many shoots as possible, so starting with a giant 50% OFF to get things going, book for any time this year, so long as it's paid for by the end of January!

So, I shall be updating this with a lot of reviews and things soon, have a great year guys! Keep in touch!

An update!

Well, I feel like I haven't posted in ages, I have been SO busy with... everything! Photography kind of took a back seat whilst I had my exams, and well I have some good news.
I have passed my first year on university!

I also shot my first wedding, which was the gothic wedding of Jennifer and Robert Blackmore, and they they had a zombie reception, to celebrate the release of a new game "Dead Island Riptide". It was an amazing first wedding and I would love to shoot more.

Now, I have been getting creative as well, I made some dresses, cushions and things whilst I am bored over the summer and I have a little page to showcase it, where I can make things for you guys too if you like.
Black Cat Designs!

So, it wouldn't be right if I didn't include some pictures, so here is some of the morning and evening ceremony of the wedding.

So yes, anyway, I am looking forward to shooting lots of things over summer, time to get my ass in gear!

2012 in images.

Just as I have started this blog and only done one shoot since the start of 2013, I thought I would share what I accomplished in 2012 - as I think it was a pretty good year. Below are some of the highlights:

I shot with Hellkat for Dark Secrets Latex which was my first latex shoot. We managed to shoot in a cute little sweetshop in Chester, followed by the remains of the funfair in Rhyl, and I think we did the bows justice!

I did have some bad shoot experiences as well but luckily the pictures turned out well. I treat these as a lurning curve, but I had wanted to do this shoot for ages.

I also did some gore/fantasy shoots! Which is great for me as I like the wierd and wonderful!

I shot with Hellkat again for Opium Latex - a stunning red dress! I then went on to purchase my own from this lovely - some self portraits will come at some point!

2012 was also the year I met Echo Le Screem and created some stunning images. My friend also got involved modelling for The Red Queen Boutique and created some stunning ballet-ish images.

And then Hellkat, Echo Le Screem and Coco Fierce did a shoot for a latex company.

I also worked with SamPhire who I have worked with on a few occasions, again - amazing results!

Storm in a D cup also approached me to do underwear shoots, with an evil twist - so I got to work with a plethora of sexy underwear clad ladies inlcuding Hellkat, Cat Sleigh and Natalie Pallatina

I also met BeccaLou and had several amazing shoots (and more planned for 2013)

Then, my final shoot of 2012 was with Samii Bliss for Nightmare Jewellery (a good friend of mine) and IVX Latex Couture. Really pleased with this set!

So!
That was a brief highlight of the pictures I have taken in 2012, onwards and upwards for 2013!
